Frisbee

Materials You Need: Frisbee.

What You Can Do Together: If there are only two of you playing, stand a short distance opposite each other. If there are several players, get everyone to stand in a circle. The aim of the game is to throw the Frisbee to each other, using your wrist to create flicking or flinging motion. Every time someone catches the Frisbee, all the players take one step back to make the distance between them bigger. See how far you can go!

The first Frisbee discs were metal food tin lids and cake pans that people enjoyed throwing about!

What Your Child is Learning: Aiming, spinning and tossing a Frisbee develops gross motor skills in children, whilst at the same time providing them with plenty of energetic exercise and outdoor fun! It also encourages social interaction and teamwork as the players share the pleasure of passing, catching and running.
