Necessary washing of baby strollers
In most strollers, the method of maintenance, washing, removal of all textile parts, covers and cushions is indicated and marked, and they also have symbols indicating whether washing in a washing machine is allowed and at what temperature. The more folding and removable parts on the stroller, the easier it is to wash and maintain.
Start by disassembling the stroller into the smallest possible parts, then vacuum all the folds where food crumbs and other impurities may have remained. Wash the stroller with a sponge and warm water in which you have added a small amount of mild baby detergent. If there are stubborn stains or spots, treat them with baby-friendly products tested for use on baby items.
Use neutral detergents and rinse them thoroughly, and then dry each part with a dry cloth. Pay special attention to wheel mechanisms, which should be brushed well to remove dust, stones and other small items stuck in the wheels. Wash the wheels with warm water and a sponge.
If it is not possible to disassemble the stroller, you can wash it under running water in the bathtub or in the yard . Always rinse several times, because sometimes white circles from a larger amount of detergent can remain if the fabric is not rinsed thoroughly. The use of stiff brushes, wires and similar items can damage the material. Metal parts are washed under running water and are the easiest to maintain. Since strollers are stored indoors: in hallways, basements, garages where they can absorb moisture, smoke and other impurities, it is recommended to protect them with special covers before disposal.
Proper maintenance and hygiene extend the life of the stroller, protects your child from infections and ensures safety in use.
