Protect your child from mosquitoes

Walking and playing in the nature are very useful for the child's development. Mosquitoes can spoil the fun. Mosquito bites are generally not dangerous, but cause a lot of discomfort (redness, swelling, blisters, itching).
Body

The most important thing is to protect your child from mosquito bites.

When your children are outdoors, dress them in clothes of lighter shades, long pants, socks on their feet, long-sleeved T-shirts.

Install mosquito nets on windows and doors, baby crib and stroller.

There are various preparations (repellents) on the market that protect against mosquito bites. When choosing one, always follow the age indicated on the product itself (not all products are intended for children under 2 years of age), expiration date, instructions for use (do not apply to all body parts, avoid applying the product to damaged and irritated skin, apply sparingly).

Repellents come in the form of sprays, roll-ons, gels, wet wipes, and in various sizes; they are practical for travel and it is good to always have them on hand. It is best to buy tested and registered preparations.

You can also use mosquito repellent devices. Some are plugged in a socket, while others are portable (battery operated) and can be attached to a baby stroller, clothes, bag.

Avoid staying in the nature without the recommended protection, in the period when mosquitoes are most active, in the evening, by rivers, lakes, unmaintained grassy and wooded areas.

After a bite, it is best to apply a cold compress for a few minutes (a handkerchief, gauze or towel soaked in cold water, or a refrigerated bottle of water), and then apply a preparation that has soothing properties and relieves itching.
