Materials You Need: Plastic pot or saucepan; wooden or plastic spoon.  

What You Can Do Together: Before starting the activity, prepare the space where you and your little one will play. Sit your child in front of you in a chair or on the floor with their back supported by pillows. 

To start, show your little one the materials, allow her/him to touch and become familiar with them. Next, sing a song that you like and create sounds by hitting one of the spoons with the pot or saucepan. When you see that you have attracted her/his attention, give her/him a spoon and invite them to create sounds with you. You can take her/his hand and help her/him mimic your movement, then give her/him a chance to do it independently. 

During the activity, congratulate her/him through words or applause and constantly smile so that she/he is motivated to imitate you. 

What Your Child is Learning: With this activity, you will help your little one to imitate movements and facial expressions to help them develop social skills.
