Rolling on my back

Materials You Need:  None

What You Can Do Together: Before starting the activity, you should make sure that the space you will work in is comfortable and free of danger. This space can be on a rug, a blanket, or on a bed.

For this activity, place your little one on his/her back and gently move his/her arms and legs to get them used to the movements. Next, grab her/his right arm and leg and gently move them to the left to help them roll onto their back. Praise them and allow them to rest in that position. Then, place your little one back on her/his back and repeat the procedure for the other side. Remember to give her/him the freedom to do the movements.

You can do this activity two or three times while changing his diaper or lying on a flat surface.

What Your Child is Learning: With this activity, you will be helping your little one to strengthen her/his arms and legs by teaching her/him to turn on her/his back.
