Doodle Game

Materials You Need: Pencil or pen, paper.

What You Can Do Together: Ask the first player to draw a doodle with their eyes closed. Explain that they’re not drawing anything in particular; just doodling, for example, lines, shapes or swirls. Once the player has finished their doodle, ask them to pass it on to the next person. That person’s challenge is to change the doodle into something that looks real. It might be a tractor, an alien, a herd of dinosaurs… anything they can think of. The other players can then try to work out what it is!

If you have a large group of children, it might help to get them into pairs so they can take it in turns to draw the doodle.

Children will love the freedom of doodling and the end results are sure to cause some chuckles!

What Your Child is Learning: Doodling has been proven to help improve creativity! It also keeps your kid’s brain occupied by using three different styles of learning: visual, kinesthetic and auditory.
