How to get rid of cradle cap
Cradle cap is a result of overactive sebaceous glands, which begin to produce too much fat. It is sometimes caused by scalp hypersensitivity to the hygiene products that are used and not rinsed thoroughly, especially when the baby has thick hair or the parents wash the baby's hair too gently out of concern for the baby's fontanelle. You will remove cradle cap by rubbing baby oil on the part of the head where the patches are located two to three hours before bathing. When they soften, try to remove them carefully with a brush or comb. While bathing, rub the area with patches with a terry glove. After bathing, washing and thoroughly rinsing the hair, the baby's head should be rubbed well with a dry towel. Comb the baby's hair in all directions with a brush, as this massages the hairy part of the head, speeds up circulation, improves hair nutrition and the activity of the sebaceous glands.
Repeat the procedure for the next bath, until cradle cap clears completely. Nowadays, there are shampoos and foams that are intended for baby head care in case of cradle cap.
