Silent spy

Materials You Need: None.

What You Can Do Together: Get the children to sit together in a group. One person secretly picks an object that the other players can see. They say, ‘I am the silent spy. Can you guess what I see with my little eye?’. The spy can give the rest of the players only one clue – the number of letters in the word. If they give up and can't guess the word, it must be revealed, and the spy gets to pick another object. If a player makes the right guess, then they become the spy.

Be stealthy and choose an object from a different direction every time it’s your turn – this will make the other players have to work harder!

What Your Child is Learning: Silent Spy is a great game for children’s parties, picnics and camping trips. It requires children to pay attention to their surroundings and hold concentration – and helps them practise spelling, too!
