Where Is the Toy?
Materials You Need: Three cardboard boxes with lid; One small toy.
What You Can Do Together: To start this activity, it is necessary that you first prepare the material to be used. Place your little one sitting on a chair or a flat and comfortable surface.
Place in front of her three cardboard boxes without the lid, and in one of them, you place a toy. Then you close the boxes and ask her: where is the toy?
You open the boxes one by one, and when you uncover the box with the toy, you say with surprise: Here it is! Now it's your little one's turn, repeat the process and let her be the one to open the boxes. The second time you play the game, you can change the question and say: Now open the box with the toy.
What Your Child is Learning: This activity is of great help to stimulate your child's logical thinking, attention and memory. Your child also starts to express dissatisfaction or joy.
